Microsoft explains the game is now free because it is to celebrate Pride month, which is every year in June. Late last year, DONTNOD Entertainment revealed that the French video game development studio has over six new projects in the works, including Twin Mirror, which released back in December. The developer also pinned a tweet directing users to an FAQ page where they can learn more about the game, including instances of violence and misgendering that some players may not be comfortable with. "Now you can experience the first part of this award-winning, best-in-class narrative adventure from DONTNOD Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios at no cost - and if you enjoy the first chapter, the rest of the game is now more affordable than ever," the developers wrote on Twitter.
